70s wooden decoupage box purse with a shimmery lucite handle (reminiscent of bakelite), a nice, solid clasp and metal ball feet. Artwork by Anton Pieck.
Features scenes from a print shop, including an old printing press, an observing apprentice, a black shop cat and lots of other little details. As per Pieck's usual themes, this one is full of nostalgia.
Lined with green velvet and gold trim.
The decoupage box purse is the ultimate 70s boho accessory and collectible.
Good condition: There are some scuffs in the varnish/shellac along the edge of the lid. One of the ball feet was reattached using a long screw so it's up through the inside. And there is some staining on the lining. These things don't effect its overall charm or function.
