Gorgeous vintage silver Boho-chic beaded necklace. I believe this to be a goodie from world travel long ago. Features a beautiful chunky look and feel with tons of varying beads and baubles.
Purchased at an estate sale in Augusta, GA among a collection from the 30s to the 70s, this appears to be a a souvenir from a beautiful, far-off place in the 50s or 60s. If you look closely, you'll see the telltale imperfections of a hand made piece with variations in texture and maker marks. Subtle variations that show the human touch.
This is a very special piece, a great gift for your favorite bohemian and a nice way to add some vintage chic to any outfit.
It is oxidized silver, I keep the aged patina intact for collectors as some prefer it that way. I did polish a small bit (see video) to show how it can shine.
It looks, feels, oxidizes and polishes exactly like silver and it's non-magnetic. In my 35+ years of experience with vintage jewelry, etc, I can confidently say it's silver.
