1960s/70s "The Lilly" Lilly Pulitzer Jacket and Skirt Set - Cotton Blend - 60s/70s Skirt Set - Women's Vintage Size Small

Absolutely cheerful and bright thin jacket and skirt set from "The Lilly" Lilly Pulitzer in her iconic lemon yellow color.* The fabric is a nice cotton/poly blend.

The jacket has a cute, boxy silhouette with a large notched collar, buttons all the way down the front, butoned cuffs, pockets and a drawstring at the bottom so it can be worn straight or tied up on the waist.
The skirt is an adorable a-line with a button and zip closure and a flat front waist with elastic around the sides and back of the waist. It has a cute square pocket on the left hip, matching the pockets on the jacket.

This is SUCH a precious set, the photos don't do it justice. It is the perfect addition to your wearable vintage collection.

Excellent, near mint vintage condition; no tears, holes, stains. repairs or fading.

Hand washed. hung dry and steamed by me.

Approximately a size small. Pictured on size 4 mannequin and fits nicely with a little wiggle room. There is no stretch to the fabric, please see all measurements:

** in the 1950s, Lilly Pulitzer opened a fruit juice stand in Palm Beach. Her lemonade being everyone's favorite, Pulitzer found that squeezing juice was very messy, so she designed her own adorable "uniforms" for the juice stand. Using bright citrus colors, of course. The customers loved her outfits, so she produced more to sell at the juice stand. Eventually, she was selling more dresses than juice, and decided to focus on designing and selling what had become known as her "Lillys"**
